Why choose Brook Counselling?
Finding the right therapist is the most important part of your counselling journey. You need to feel understood and safe with your counsellor, to help you explore difficult emotions, feelings and vulnerabilities.
There are many types of therapy which can make it even more confusing when you are searching for the right counsellor. I am a qualified, Integrative Counsellor working with a Humanistic Approach. This is informed by theories including Person-Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis. I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
I understand that no two people are the same. I work with a wide variety of mental health conditions, but my passion is to work with clients as individuals. You are the expert in your world. I will help you to understand the difficulties you are facing and break down any blind spots using the most appropriate theory and tools. My integrative training means I can offer bespoke therapy which is most appropriate for your treatment needs.
You will be at the center of the process at all times, and be given choices in how we work. I can help you to understand complex feelings using psychological theories and empower you in making positive changes in your life. We will regularly review your progress and goals to ensure that we focus on the aspects most important to you.
I have my own counselling room where I can offer face to face appointments. I am also qualified to provide telephone and online, via video call, counselling. This allows me to offer a flexible approach to ensure you get the support you need.
